Overview

Job Summary

Rack, un-rack and package customer product in a safe and productive manner.  In addition, assists the Team Leader with training and on boarding of new racker employees and serves as the “go to” person for racking questions.

 

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for training and on boarding of new racking employees and serves as the “go to” person for their work area.
  • Responsible for ensuring daily goals are communicated to employees and fulfilled within work area.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality standards per customer requirements.
  • Ensures daily schedule is followed and updated, timely and accurately.
  • Skilled in blueprint reading to accurately assess racking/un-racking requirements specified on print.
  • Communicates with line operators as needed to ensure compliance of sensitive parts or different process requirements.
  • Assesses tooling needs and submits for work area
  • Actively assumes the role of a team leader as required by the Supervisor.
  • Monitor all equipment to ensure they are performing and calibrated properly.
  • Self-directed to handle performing the racking of customer product specifications.
  • Visually inspect product prior to racking while notifying the Team Leader/Supervisor of any non-conformances.
  • Must be able to perform all customer required performance characteristic testing
  • Rack, un-rack and package customer parts per the work order.
  • Ensures all customer product and tooling is handled properly to avoid damage.
  • Records necessary racking and un-racking information on work order.
  • Works safely at all times and complies with all safety regulations while working with Hazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Maintains equipment, and work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Works with a positive attitude and reports all questions or problems to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
