Overview

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving maximum performance of the team while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Set the pace and motivate all employees on their respective teams by using company metrics of success.  Demonstrates a knowledge of and understanding of the key performance indicators for the department and division.
  • Can demonstrate ability to be agile/flexible, exhibit conflict resolution skills, demonstrates team building, ability transfer knowledge and skills.  Identifies opportunities for improvement and helps facilitate change.
  • Works in conjunction with supervisor and Human Resources on all personnel issues including performance reviews and necessary disciplinary actions defined in Pioneer Metal Finishing handbook.
  • Works with the Supervisor in labor planning, adjusting staffing levels as necessary to meet customer demand.
  • Generates NCRs for all quality related issues.
  • Responsible for supporting the ongoing technical or basic job skills training of all team members, including onboarding of new employees or cross-training of existing employees
  • Takes initiative to troubleshoot a process or tooling related issue.  Able to demonstrate the problem-solving process using the tools of the organization to identify root cause. 
  • Complete the necessary forms accurately and timely. Identify when a form is incomplete and facilitate the completion of the forms by the appropriate team members.
  • Verifies that the operators are completing maintenance to keep the equipment in good working order.  If issues are identified, escalates to appropriate leader/department.
  • Must be able to operate essential equipment as necessary.
  • Must maintain a clean work area.
  • Follows, demonstrates, and reinforces all safety policies and compliance requirements.  Holds accountable others to complying with safety requirements.
  • Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
  • Demonstrates leadership competencies/traits/attributes consistent with promoting a respectful, high performing and engaged workplace.

Physical/Environmental/Chemical Hazards

  • Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection).
  • Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to differentiate between color variance.
  • Potential splash exposure near process lines.
  • Various chemicals used in process.

Education/Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work individually and part of a team.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
