Overview

Job Summary

The Business Systems Project Manager will be responsible for leading various strategic business initiatives from inception through validation.  Strategic initiatives may be site, region, or corporate specific.  Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring divisional teams have the knowledge and skills to effectively manage the ERP system in support of Customer Care, New Product Introduction, and Quoting / Pricing functions. They must use judgement, experience, and technical knowledge to establish and train best practices in these areas. They must promote an environment that fosters safety, teamwork, open communication, and a focus on quality, efficiency and operational excellence.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

ERP System Support and Optimization for First Article, Customer Care, and Pricing Modules

  • Responsible for providing training support of Pioneer’s ERP business system, ensuring integration, and adoption of the system into the Divisions.
  • Thoroughly understands the business process to bring innovative solutions to business problems.
  • Analyze system usage and practices, reviews business processes, recommends, and implements changes and enhancements. 
  • Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities to better leverage the capabilities of the ERP business system and helps facilitate the change.
  • Work within Pioneer’s business to support, define and implement primarily ERP related solutions.
  • Act as ERP Subject Manager Expert in the First Article, Customer Care, and Pricing modules.

First Article and Pricing Training and Optimization

  • Support the divisional resources in determining if the provided pricing model is profitable and work with Corporate Pricing function to recommend changes as needed.
  • Support divisional resources in the accurate and timely creation of product route creation within the ERP system.
  • Leads regional margin variance management process and is responsible for site specific margin variance process training/integration.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and helps facilitate the change.
  • Responsible for supporting the ongoing technical or basic skills training of team members, including onboarding of new employees or cross training of existing employees.

Divisional Customer Care Support

  • Leads training, onboarding, and development of customer experience roles; Customer Care and Pricing Specialists.
  • Coordinates coverage and provides regional backup support of customer experience roles in event of PTO, vacancy, surge demand, or transition.
  • Serves as regional customer care advisor for ‘at-risk’ and/or new strategic customer opportunities as needed.

Work Environment

  • Position is remote with a minimum 50% site travel required. Duration/frequency will vary on a project-to-project basis and could be up to 100% for a period of time.
  • Requires collaboration with employees at all organizational levels.

Education/Qualifications

  • 4 Year college degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations / project management / project leadership.
  • Preferred experience in a shop floor / production planning function.
  • Demonstrated ability to be agile/flexible, exhibit conflict resolution skills, demonstrates team building, ability to transfer knowledge and skills.
  • High sense of urgency and initiative.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to manager and prioritize multiple projects/work streams simultaneously.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving skills and the ability to make objective decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high degree of enthusiasm, professionalism, and motivation.
  • Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in professional communications both internal and external.
  • Ability to effectively utilize language: speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Must possess effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
