Responsible for performing daily chemical analysis, chemical additions and makeups, equipment calibration, quality testing, paint (OSH) management, and maintenance of chemical systems. This role also includes transporting chemicals, maintaining chemical storage areas, and supporting tank maintenance activities.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Responsible for all pH adjustments.
- Perform acid-base, redox, and complexometric titrations to determine concentrations of chemical substances.
- Prepare and standardize solutions and reagents used in titration procedures.
- Executes the dumping and replenishing of chemical and rinse tanks.
- Monitoring waste treatment system. (OSH)
- Daily chemical sampling and analysis.
- Light Environmental Management
- Use of statistical data control required for monitoring and improving chemical processes.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory chemicals/supplies and Paint (OSH).
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of laboratory.
- Inventory and organization of process chemicals, storage areas and Paint
- Ensures accuracy in chemical measurements, documentation, and equipment calibration.
- Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.

Physical/Environmental/Chemical Hazards
- Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection).
- Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to maneuver a full drum or barrel of chemical that varies in weight. (est. 500-700lbs)
- Must successfully complete respiratory fit testing.
Education/Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, preferred
- Strong math aptitude needed.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
