Overview

Responsible for performing daily chemical analysis, chemical additions and makeups, equipment calibration, quality testing, paint (OSH) management, and maintenance of chemical systems. This role also includes transporting chemicals, maintaining chemical storage areas, and supporting tank maintenance activities.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Perform daily pH adjustments and chemical sampling/analysis.
  • Execute dumping and replenishment of chemical and rinse tanks.
  • Monitor and support the waste treatment system (OSH).
  • Conduct light environmental management tasks.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve chemical processes.
  • Maintain inventory of laboratory chemicals, supplies, and paint (OSH).
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and chemical storage areas.
  • Operate a forklift to transport chemicals and materials as needed.
  • Perform other related duties and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
  • Exposure to sharp parts/tooling, heavy carts, varying temperatures, humidity, oven heat, and moderate noise levels.
  • Use of hand tools, air tools, and compressed air (hearing protection required).
  • Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs unassisted.
  • Must be able to maneuver full drums/barrels of chemicals (estimated 500–700 lbs).
  • Must successfully complete respiratory fit testing.

Education/Qualifications
  • High School diploma preferred, but not required.
  • Strong math aptitude needed.
