Manages and leads the Division in pursuit of growth, increased profitability, and delivery of an excellent customer experience. The GM is a steward of Pioneer’s corporate values and The Pioneer Way. Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Planning: Works with the Vice President, Operations to prepare divisional plans and strategy, Annual Business Plan and Budget, and other plans as required.
- Decision Making/Judgment: Reviews and adjusts the organization to ensure the resources are allocated for daily performance and long-term success.
- Deliver Results: Measures and tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including safety, delivery, quality, cost, compliance, etc.
- Directing: Managers, supervisors, and team leaders manage all operations functions.
- Leading: Provides leadership to all Division employees, promoting the company's mission, values, and Fundamentals.
- Controlling: Assures that customer requirement is met, corporate policy is followed, and action plans are completed on time and within budget. Meets or exceeds goals for the year.
- Development: Coach, teach and mentor employees to facilitate their long-term development, career path alignment, and bench strength for future growth opportunities.
- Leads Divisional Leadership Team adherence to Business Plans, Performance Standards, and Individual Development Plans.
- Plans and adjusts labor and other resources as necessary to maintain flexibility in response to customer needs.
- Ensures that schedules for work for all process lines are by facility capabilities, customer requirements, economic performance, and long-range planning, expediting as required.
- Ensure customer requirements are met and complaints are resolved promptly, visiting customers as required.
- Partner with Strategic customers to drive organic growth for the division and the organization.
- Supports Continuous Improvement efforts and activities.
- Works with Operations Support on the implementation of the Best Practice process.
- Coach, teach, and mentor employees and teams, creating an environment that provides the retention and advancement of employees.
- Ensures all employees maintain quality levels required by our customers and Quality System standards.
- Sets up and makes sure all operations records are correctly maintained and reviewed.
- Maintains an extremely clean facility and makes sure equipment maintenance is acceptable.
- Works on Company-wide improvement projects as assigned.
- Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
Education/Qualifications
- 7-10 Years of Strong Leadership experience in a labor-intensive production/manufacturing environment
- Experience in a Plant/Operations Management role
- Experience in metal finishing is a plus but not required
- Experience in Labor Management, Quality, Lean, and Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on collaborative leadership style
- Ability to hold teams accountable and provide feedback
- Strong Presence and proven success in motivating a workforce
- Previous experience creating a vision, setting goals, holding teams accountable, and driving results
- High sense of urgency
- Physical Demands: could include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, etc.

- Previous success managing in a continuously changing environment
- Previous experience evaluating performance and developing future leaders
- Financial Acumen: prior Profit and Loss Accountability
- A desire for future growth & responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Operations, Engineering, or another related field is strongly desired
- Greenbelt Certification is strongly desired
