Overview

Team Leads. supervise, instruct, train and coach the hourly personnel in all aspects of the job, including the proper techniques, work instructions, production methods, quality assurance and plant operation.  Must use judgment, experience and technical knowledge to accomplish goals and objectives.  Must promote an environment that fosters teamwork, open communication and a focus on quality and efficiency.

 

As a Team Lead, you will:

  • Lead and support a team to achieve production, quality, and safety goals
  • Coach, train, and develop employees, including onboarding and cross-training
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with Supervisors and Human Resources on employee relations, performance reviews, and corrective actions
  • Assist with staffing and labor planning to meet customer demand
  • Troubleshoot production and process issues and help identify root causes
  • Support quality initiatives, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of production and quality documentation
  • Verify equipment maintenance activities and escalate issues when needed
  • Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and materials
  • Operate production equipment as needed to support the team

What to Expect on the Job:

  • Lead and support a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Be active on the production floor, coaching employees and assisting with daily operations.
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs. independently.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Operate production equipment, hand tools, and air tools as needed.
  • Work around sharp parts, tooling, heavy carts, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Exposure to moderate noise, compressed air, and varying temperatures, including heat from ovens.
  • Work near production processes involving chemicals and occasional splash hazards.
  • Perform visual inspections, including identifying color variations to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety and PPE requirements.
